Up to 200 euros: Xiaomi Redmi 9T
The Xiaomi Redmi 9T remains one of our favorites under 200 euros. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T lives up to its name as a powerful smartphone thanks to its 6,000 mAh battery. Thanks to this large battery, you can play music for up to 195 hours and watch movies and series on your sofa or on the road for up to 17 hours. With normal use, the phone lasts for several days without having to charge it.
You are buying a fully equipped smartphone with the Redmi 9T. Consider the full HD LCD screen (where the competition often has an HD-ready screen), a relatively fast Snapdragon 662 processor and a camera system with a 48 megapixel main camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera, which many other devices lack.
Up to 350 euros: Xiaomi Poco F3
We certainly recommend he Xiaomi Poco F3! The Xiaomi Poco F3 128GB Black provides you with a lightning-fast device. Thanks to the Snapdragon 870 processor and the 6 GB RAM, large apps run smoothly and you can play the latest 3D games without any problems. The Snapdragon 870 processor makes it even faster than last year’s most luxurious devices and much faster than almost all other smartphones in this segment.
If we must be critical, the water resistance classification isn’t very high and it doesn’t have a headphone port. Yet you will almost never find this many good specifications included in one device at this modest price level.
Up to 500 euros: Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G
The 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be available this fall for less than 500 euros and is our favorite in this class. The device has a 6.5-inch Infinity-O-Display with Super-AMOLED image technology and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which ensures sharp and smooth images. The screen is therefore very good and the battery life is above average, although it does not charge that fast.
In the past, this variant had the slower and less efficient Exynos chip in addition to less connectivity, but since this year the 4G model also has the same Snapdragon 865 processor as the 5G model. There are faster smartphones for this amount, but the S20 FE is excellently balanced and therefore a very good deal
Up to 700 euros: Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition 5G
If you are willing to pay a little more, we also recommend the 5G edition of the above phone. Like the 4G model, it is perfectly balanced. For features such as an IP68 waterproof rating and wireless charging, you pay a lot more elsewhere.
The Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a powerful processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage memory. This storage can even be expanded with a microSD card of up to 1TB so you always have enough memory for all your photos and videos.
The phone also features the luxurious camera system with 3x optical ‘zoom’, a main camera with optical image stabilization and an excellent ultra-wide-angle camera.
Over 750 euros: Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G
The Samsung Galaxy S21+ has increased a bit in price in recent months, but is still an excellent option in many respects. The test shows that it has the longest battery life of all high-end smartphones on average, with the exception of the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Samsung has paid a lot of attention to the design when designing the Galaxy S21. The 5G device has subtle curves and is finished with an eye for detail. This beautiful casing contains a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with extra bright color reproduction. The screen has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. This is automatically adjusted to what you do on your device, so that the battery lasts even longer. The screen can also take a knock, as it is made of the strong Gorilla Glass Victus. Incidentally, the entire device is equipped to deal a lot, because it is also dust resistant and waterproof up to 3 meters
